Pakistan Climate Change Implementation framework NDCs Commitment/Plan tab
• NDC commitments are ambiguous on their own, should be supported by references in the form of links for more detail about each supporting action/policy. Basically, it should have more detail. For e.g. if the agriculture supporting action states “Development of crop varieties and livestock breeds resistant to heat and water stresses.” Then it should at the very least provide some detail into the action in the form of links redirecting users to detailed resources which explain the action or the motivation behind the policy/action (for e.g.: what studies were conducted to justify using the action/s listed on CCIT)
• In “Cross-Sectoral” there are supporting policies which have a completion date of 2022, the status of these policies should be included (were they completed or not?) • This lack of detail is consistent throughout the NDCs tab. I understand that it’s a tab for commitments, actions which must be carried out over time, but the motivation/inspiration behind the listed actions should be included nonetheless
• In the “mitigation” section, there are several supporting actions which have “Goals” listed as “None”, at least some information should be listed here rather than leaving them empty as other supporting actions do have goals. Or you could just omit the goals section for supporting actions that don’t have any goals…
Pakistan NDCs Achievements tab
• Returns objectives rather than achievements… should be renamed to Pakistan NDCs Objectives
• Hitting “submit” on the interface provided returns objectives which have completion dates set to this year (2023), if these objectives have been completed then only they should be listed as achievements and returned. Makes no sense to return objectives that have completion dates beyond 2023 as it’s highly likely they would not have been completed.
