Description The World Bank Rapid Social Response Program (RSR) is a multi-donor trust fund established in 2009 in response to the social impact of the food, fuel and financial crises in developing countries. It targets assistance to low income countries and fragile states to build and improve social protection systems that protect the poor and vulnerable from shocks and build economic resilience. The objective of the program is consistent with the Australian aid policy of increasing support for social protection programs to alleviate short term suffering, build community resilience to crises, and help vulnerable families avoid choices that push them further into poverty. From 2019, Australian Funding is being directed to the Gender Window.
