| Description | The Capacity Building Work Stream Investment will support capacity building activities for the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector including: applied-research on WASH issues, the coordination and management of the International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) conferences in 2014, 2016 (including funding for Australian Awardees to participate) and 2018, support for the UNESCO Free Flow publication to be provided to public authorities and community leaders in developing countries, and a series of other capacity building activities including funding to the 2015 International River Symposium. This Investment will also support WSH Section monitoring, evaluation and representation costs for field visits, conferences and workshops, team capacity building and planning and design costs. The total value of this investment is about $2.9 million over 6 years, starting 2012-13. |
